What Made the Difference? – 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

What Made the Difference?
Mosaic of Jesus Christ in Hagia Sophia
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 – ”14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.“

What made the difference? I encountered Christ!

God, I am utterly humbled by your love for me. You chose me, set your heart on me, made me yours. My finite mind can’t comprehend the love you pour out on me, on us!

Forgive me for not loving you with my whole heart sometimes, for my impatience, for seeking my own desires, for my idols and looking elsewhere for only what you can truly satisfy, for desiring comfort and worldly treasures.

Help my heart to be rooted in you and love. Help me reflect the image of Christ and pour out the love within me that comes from you. Help me to live out the love I’m freely given by you in my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Here is my heart, Lord.
