Phyllis Hooten is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Nursing 2022, Mysterious Ways, and American Nurse, plus is a regular contributor to the regional publication, Good News. She also is a grant writer at Anchor Advising, LLC. and formally taught nursing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is a member of Acts Church of Waco, TX and is involved with the Women’s and Prayer ministries. She lives in Hewitt, TX with her husband Samuel and three rescue dogs.
