One of my friends went to heaven last week! I vacillate between feeling horrified that she is gone, and wanting to jump for joy thinking about where she is now. I know that God had a blueprint for her life. She believed in Jesus and He lived through her. Just like my friend Carma, you and I who are in Christ, are a part of this very special design! God planned before we were ever born to give us the will and the ability to do what pleases Him. He gives us His Spirit and works miracles among us because we have heard the Good News and believed it. Left to our own devices, we may do many good things, but those noble workings will not transport to eternity. Our righteousness are like filthy rags; we all fade as a leaf. But God, who planned a good work in us, is the One that prolongs our good works and keeps moving them forward to completion and will perfect them at the return of Christ. God produces the will within us, and He provides the outcome that pleases Him. This is just one more reminder that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. There are amazing benefits to being a child of God. He tells us that He is the One who holds our hand and helps us! God promises to give us success when we include Him in our plans. Our life will be one achievement after another when we include the Lord in every decision we make. The possibilities are endless! His will for us as believers is that we think and do what pleases Him. This satisfies our God! We are eternally blessed that He uses us for good, produces fruit from that labor and gives us the reward! 😊 Yes, God is so very good to His children! Yet, although we do the Father’s will and do many good works, that will not get us into heaven. Jesus is the key to opening heaven along with all these bountiful blessings.
