Life is full of decisions and obstacles that can cloud our minds with thoughts of fear and our hearts filled with anxiety. Loving God means we don’t have to worry because when we love God, we are walking in his purpose. Today’s scripture tells us that everything, even when we don’t understand it, will eventually work in our favor. It may not always seem like it at first, but if we continue to love and trust God, he does know what is best for us. If we are patient and continue to hold on to our hope in him, he will reveal his purpose. In my own life, I have had some pretty hard decisions to make and obstacles to overcome. Even when I felt deep inside God was telling me to continue, I would still doubt his direction. God is so good; he knows how to give me signs that comfort me and confirm that he is using these situations to guide me to his purpose. Let’s trust God in everything we do. Even if you think you have made the worse possible choice in a decision or have experienced the worse hurt you can imagine, have the confidence to know that God will work it out. He loves us and will always work things out for those who love him. Trust him and he will reveal his purpose.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for reminding us that you love us and know what is best for us. Thank you that you will not waste any moment in our lives. Even the bad stuff is being used for our good. You have a purpose for each of us. We pray today that you continue to work things out in our favor and that we can discover the purpose you have for us. In Jesus name, Amen.
