Colossians 2:6-7 – “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” |
How can we be anything but grateful when reflecting on who Jesus is and how knowing Him as LORD and Savior impacts our lives? His inexhaustible gifts of love, grace, and mercy are perennially available when choosing daily to walk with Him.
Recognizing what His sacrifice on the cross means for us is a reminder thanksgiving is not limited to an annual holiday but instead is a lifestyle. Being rooted and built up in Him provides a solid and unshakable foundation. This allows us the freedom to approach each trial, setback, or disappointment with expressions of gratitude instead of defeat and discouragement.
Dear Heavenly Father, We stand amazed, for You in your unfathomable love and mercy sent us a Savior. Although our words never will express it elegantly enough we thank You for Your gift of redemption, hope and light. In the Strong Name of Jesus, Amen.
