1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “Never stop praying.” |
I once attended a seminar where the speaker said that when it comes to prayer, we shouldn’t bother God with the little things. That may sound logical — why take up His time with something we can handle ourselves? But according to the Bible, that attitude is wrong! Philippians 4:6 tells us “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” Every…Thing! I don’t see a “worries must be this tall to ride this prayer” sign, do you? Besides, we are not qualified to tell Almighty God what is and is not important to Him. It’s not our decision to make. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8).
An issue we see as huge is not even germ-sized to God, while that “little” thing may be a very big deal to Him. Never stop praying. Instead of pre-sorting our prayers into categories before bringing them to the Lord, maybe we should just talk to Him about everything and let Him work it out. After all, that’s what He asks us to do.
