1 Corinthians 12:12 – “Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.’ |
His friend warned him.
A Florida man was fishing the Everglades. His friend Michael Russo warned him that sharks frequented the waters.
As the man leaned over the boat to rinse his hands, Russo said, “I wouldn’t put my hand in there.”
“But two seconds won’t do anything.” Said the man, and he dipped his right hand in the water. Within the blink of an eye, a shark grabbed his hand and dragged him head-first off the boat.”
Now, people shouted, “Get him, get him!”. Russo with the aid of others, got the man holding his handless arm into the boat.
Russo shook his head as he said, “This all could have been prevented.”
Jesus told Peter to take care. He was not as strong as he. Believed. But with the crowing of the cock. Peter tasted words of denial he swore he could never say. He ignored the warning.
Warnings fill the Bible. God warns Cain of his growing anger. Peter warns of a prowling lion looking for anyone to devour.
So don’t think you are immune. The danger is real, so heed the warnings God gives you.
