1 Corinthians 11:6 – “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” |
I was taking communion Sunday, and spent a lot of time trying to focus my thoughts. When I pray, I work at centering on who I am praying for.
My thoughts can be like a storm at times. Distractions everywhere. Lightning bolt thought here and there. I pray for someone and I go down a rabbit hole of thoughts about my history with them.
I had a bad daydreaming problem as a youngster. My thoughts raced. I pondered all sorts of things. Satan tugs at our coattails for our attention. God whispers. I need to pick one.
Father in heaven, thank You for Your son and the reminder of it in the Lord’s supper, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
