When meeting up with someone in a crowded public place, we often describe the color or some other aspect of our outfit so we can be easily spotted. Today’s text suggests that for believers, kindness as well as several other attributes should be as readily evident as our clothing.
Choosing to be kind regardless of circumstances or how others are behaving serves as a testimony of who the LORD is in our lives. Our actions can display our confidence in being cared for, protected and loved deeply by Him. By seeing our acts of kindness, others may want to know about the One in whom we put our trust and faith.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for loving us and for your ultimate act of kindness of sending Jesus to be our Savior. Help us to always clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience to we can be used to draw others closer to You. In the Strong Name of Jesus, Amen.
