Isaiah 25:1 – “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.”
The faithfulness of God is an invitation to faith in Him. We tend to trust those who are consistently truthful and reliable. When it comes to faithfulness, God alone is perfect. He does wonderful things every day, and is faithful to keep every promise. In the same way, we are called to live a life of faith and faithfulness. So, what motivates the faithfulness of God? According to the psalmist, it is God’s great love for us. “For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” Ps 57:10
We, in turn, are faithful when we are motivated by love and compassion. We are truthful and reliable when we care. Trust the heart of God to be faithful and learn the many rewards of being faithful to others.
