| Hebrews 10:25 – “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some…” |
One reason why lions’ roar, is to communicate with their pride, especially if they are separated from one another. God lets us know through Scripture that it is important for us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. Our brothers and sisters in Christ help to lighten our spirit and assist in helping each other to avoid “cloudy vision.” If I cannot be together with them, I can always call a few up on the phone, and we feed each other, speaking the same thing, being of same mind.
There are around 35 scriptures in the Bible telling us the importance of professing our faith. Professing means to “affirm one’s faith in or allegiance to.” Keeping communication with my family in Christ helps to keep me steady and focused on what is truly important. We encourage each other to stay centered on Christ and not vere off in ways that do not please Him. Absorbing Scripture by reading it aloud, or studying it with prayer, allows spiritual discernment to reign in my mind, my heart and my mouth.
Keeping lines of communication with The Pride of Judah, helps lead me along the narrow road, as well as quickly aligns me, when I turn aside. When I stayed “outside” the gathering of believers (which I did for years) it led me to dark thinking, hardness of heart, deception, and the devil just playing with me, letting me go on my own “slip and slide.
It wasn’t until the death of my husband that I really woke me up to the fact, that the Lord never left me. He brought me a true family through the church. The church is a gift from God. It’s a family who cares about each other and most importantly, it cares for each others soul! I thank God continuously for the fellowship of this Pride!
If you are not involved with a Christ centered church family, make it a point to find one today! Your life will be richly blessed.
