One night, I ‘randomly’ thought that it would be a great idea to give out Encouraging Scripture at work. A lot of people come in stressed, and God’s Word can be extremely helpful for calming anxiety. I thought to myself what a great idea that would be. Yes, I thought what a fabulous idea that is…then I completely forgot about it. A week or so later, I had a dream that made me realize God’s plan will not be stopped. He was the One Who put the idea in my head, and He would see to it that it happens. The dream was a powerful reminder of what He wanted me to do.
Dreams can feel so real. The bottom line to this dream was a dead body being tossed right in front of me. When I woke up, I asked the Lord, ‘Why? Why did you let me have that dream?’ After examining every detail of the dream, I finally realized that He was telling me that I see spiritually dead people every day. He was reminding me to do what He had put in my head the week before.
I didn’t waste any time getting started! I got up early the following morning and went page by page, beginning with Genesis. I pulled out every encouraging Word I could find, typed them, printed them, and distributed them to everyone that crossed my path. That was ten years ago. There have been around 520,000 Scriptures distributed since that first day.
God has a plan for each of us. Be sure to listen up!
