A popular video-game which I won’t name received an “M” rating from the Entertainment Software Review Board (ESRB). The rating is based on: “intense violence, blood and gore, nudity, mature humor, strong language, strong sexual content, and use of drugs and alcohol.” There was a time in my life when I let things into my mind which were not good. And my life reflected this. The saying was lived out “garbage in, garbage out”. If you want to be a good cook, use quality ingredients. The final product reflects the process.
Hard as we try to change it, our conscience persists. We don’t go around naked because we have a built-in embarrassment that would shame us. Dogs don’t have this. No other of God’s creation has this. Further proof of His existence, to my way of thinking. Now days, I try to make a better attempt at filtering what my mind gets to contemplate. It is a battle, as I live in a world of flesh and blood. We also have a spiritual side.
Father in heaven, help me to carefully consider what I let my eyes see, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
