Ephesians 4:31-32 – ”Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.“ |
Bitterness is an acid that does more damage where it’s stored than where it’s poured. It is a trap that the enemy tries to ambush us with. I don’t want to be a pawn and play in his games! God shield me from the cords of bitterness and give me the eyes to see the greater good that you have in store for me and them. Help me to live peaceably and honorably with all.
God tells us in Scripture who our battle is really with: ”For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.“ Ephesians 6:12 ESV
God also tells us how to live peaceably: ”But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.“ Matthew 5:44-45 ESV
