I go to bed and wake up praying for these heartbroken families. I think this flood was an attack from Satan. I have a real fear of blasphemy. I don’t want to attribute works of the Holy Spirit to Satan. But this morning I’m thinking that all good things come from the Holy Spirit- love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. The Holy Spirit gives us peace and sanity when our world falls apart.
Satan lies, steals, kills and destroys. He is the ruler of this earth. He was given power to kill all of Jobs kids, destroy his livelihood and make his life physically, emotionally, financially and mentally miserable. God allowed Satan to place much suffering upon Job. Because of that suffering, God proved to Satan that He has children who who will love Him regardless of what tragedy occurs in their life. After the trial was over, God blessed Job in amazing ways.
We are not going to curse God and die in our grief. We are going to trust Him to get us thru the pain of it all. He is faithful and holds true to His Word! Gods heartbroken people will come out stronger as He totally rebuilds them. We trust in His promise that He will turn all things to good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
May every person affected by this tragedy hold on to the shield of faith and let God heal their broken heart and bring good from it all!
