Genesis 7:6 – “Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.”

Last night after work, I asked my wife where she’d like to eat. She chose Cowboy Chicken. I always have trouble finding my way to that restaurant. Once we got there and ordered, I asked her if she minded sitting outside. Lots of restaurants have outdoor seating these days. I told her I am always cold inside that particular restaurant, and actually most every place we eat. We eat outdoors a lot now.

I am cold all day at work. The A/C is set pretty low. Or is it me getting older? I don’t like noisy places, as I can’t filter out the background din to hear what people are saying to me. Or is it me getting older? I like to eat our evening meal earlier these days.

I have this bedtime routine, and I must get it started so I can get to bed by 10 or sooner if possible. I like to get up at 5 AM, even on my days off. I understand so much better now why older people are the way they are, now that I am one. But I feel like these are really productive years for me.

Father in heaven, help me to use my time wisely, and to use these years for You, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
