1 Corinthians 13:7 – “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” |
The first four words of this verse are, “Love bears all things”
We are to love others in all situations, whether we agree with them or not. We should have forgiving hearts and show God’s love towards others. Smiling and being friendly can make a positive impact on those you come in contact with. Make it a point to show respect and you might be surprised at the change of mood in those who are the recipient of your kindness. God does the same thing for us.
Then next as we look at this verse it says “Love believes all things”
God wants us to look for the good in one another. And we are all Blessed to be a Blessing! When we Bless others, we are showing God’s Love by example. And others want to participate and be a Blessing also. It is a rewarding for us and glorifies God!
Then dissecting the verse, the next four words say “Love hopes all things”
When having a bad day or week, and it seems like there’s no resolution, we can put our faith in God and ask for wisdom on how to fix the situation, and know God is Good and will help fix the situation. By using our faith and knowing the love God has for each of us, all things turn to good. We can teach others through our actions.
And the last four words of this verse are, “Love endures all things”
Being an example of Godly love is an amazing way to live. Our life is enhanced greatly when we are obediently submissive to the Holy Spirit who lives within us and manifests the Christ-like love in our lives.
God’s word, in Mark 11:24, says to ask, believe and receive. We can ask for strength so we can show love, the way God loves us.
Lord, I ask you teach me how to be obedient and have the Christ-like love in my life. May others see this love in me and be drawn closer to you. Amen
