In this verse, John writes about the extent of God’s love. God’s love is described as unhidden, giving, sacrificial and even purposeful. He chose to show His love. He chose to sacrificially give and it was done with an intent and purpose in mind, for us.
As we reflect on this verse may we remember the selfless love that was once shed for us. As we take care of those around may we never settle and choose to love in the same way: voluntarily, sacrificially and with a purpose in mind. As we touch those around, may we impact our neighbor in such a way that they are reminded of His love.
Dear Lord,I want to reflect Your love in my life. Fill me with Your power to believe in greater and never settle for less than what You want for me. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
