Ephesians 1:11 – “Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.”
I personally love the book of Ephesian’s. I love to read about the spiritual blessings God has given us by grace through faith in Jesus. He chose us before the beginning of the world and accepted us as His own. Our human brains just can not comprehend why He would do this for a bunch of sinners but because of our union with Christ, we not only have a wonderful undeserved inheritance reserved for us in heaven, but we are also part of God’s own inheritance.
God knows all things, past, present, and future. In His eternal wisdom He knows all who will choose to trust in the Son of His love, by grace through faith. He has predestined us in His will to become His children, inheritors of the kingdom and joint heirs with Christ. He gave a high price to purchase our souls and redeem us.
As children of God, we can be confident that God will give us what He has promised which is eternal life.
Father of all, what a glorious inheritance I have in You by grace through faith. Thank You that You have redeemed my life from death and have made me to be part of Your own inheritance. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
