|Hebrews 7:25 – “Therefore, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
There are many ways that we intercede for others through prayer. These could include the following:
To express love and care.
To seek God’s will and guidance.
To ask for God’s mercy and forgiveness.
To appeal to God’s justice and righteousness.
To share in sufferings and joys.
The more time we spend in prayer and in God’s Word, the more we begin to develop an understanding of how powerful and majestic He is as He intercedes for us. He who has rescued us from our sins, intercedes for all who trust Him. He has the power to save through the cross and His glorious resurrection.
He has promised to save us from the power, guilt, and nature of sin, as He conforms us into the image and likeness of Himself. He will never abandon any that have trusted in His name and who have come to Him for forgiveness and peace. There is no time nor place where His sacrifice of intercession does not reach us, thus underlining His promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you. Lord, help me to realize your power and might and to trust You in all things.
