Hopping Around – Psalm 46:10

Faith Walk
Eurasian wren (Troglodytes troglodytes)
Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God.”

During my devotion this morning I had a visit from a House Wren in my Orange Bell bush which is beginning to lose its leaves anticipating Fall. The bird hopped around like crazy from top to bottom investigating every inch. It made me think about how we hop around in life looking for happiness, validation, approval from others, and security!

In reality the real deal is right in front of us all the time. We already know what the next right thing to do is in our life. If you don’t know, stop and pray and ask for guidance. If you do know, I encourage you to stop hopping around aimlessly and set some basic goals for your life and do the next right thing. You won’t ever know if you don’t stop and spend quiet time with God! He’s waiting for you with open arms.
