Yesterday a lady was telling me that her friends’ son was not expected to live but a few more minutes. She said that she was afraid he did not know the Lord. ‘If only if he had more time…’
Only God could know where and when each of us would serve Him best. And that’s precisely what He did—He placed everyone one of us in the exact time and place where we would be most likely to seek and serve Him. Our story begins right there; in the time and boundary He chose for us.
We’ll never have the excuse that “if only” I’d had better opportunities” or “if only I had been born into a different family” or whatever our “if only” is. It doesn’t work. God had it all figured out before He created each one of us.
When our life is over, we will be able to say ‘God gave me exactly what I needed to fulfill the good works He prepared for me before I was ever born. He worked all things to good!
Make the most of every opportunity God has given you, and don’t wait too late to serve the One Who created you.
Our time here is a precious gift. Let Him turn all those “if only” thoughts into grateful “Thank You, Lord”, thoughts!
