“I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”
I just got back from an awesome family get together this last weekend. Most of my extended family are Christians and joy reigns at those yearly get togethers. It’s a gift from Jesus that we love experiencing. Jesus said that His joy will percolate through and have jurisdiction over those who are obedient to Him. (Read that again!) I crave that joy from Him. Once you have it, you don’t ever want to lose it!
Whenever I feel my joy diminishing, it’s always a clear sign that I am not walking close to the Lord. I want to correct immediately whatever is displeasing to God in my life. I want that joy! I want the joy of my salvation restored!
Jesus extends His joy to everyone who walks in obedience to Him. It’s soothing deep within our soul. It’s a supernatural gift!
