I have to tell you what is so fun about this Scripture in Revelation.
Follow along with me on this:
Before we were created, God prepared good works for us to do.
He placed the desire within us to do those good works.
He created us with the ability to do those good works.
He allows fruit to be produced from our good works.
Then, He REWARDS us for the fruit He produced through us, for walking in the good works He prepared for us.
That is just so super cool! It’s kind of like taking our little kids on an Easter Egg Hunt. We prepare the eggs, we put a prize inside, we set them out…everywhere…they can’t even miss most of them, and we go with the kids on the hunt. For those eggs that are difficult to find, we direct their eyes to see it. When they run over and pick it up, we rejoice with them not only for finding the egg that we helped them to find, but we take such joy in seeing their excitement over receiving the prize that we put inside especially for them! Is that not how the Lord is with us? We are rewarded for staying close to Him, for going where He tells us to go, and doing what He tells us to do.
