| Philippians 4:6-7 – “’Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the LORD. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the LORD. Work, for I am with you, declares the LORD of hosts, ” ‘according to the covenant that I made with you when you came out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.'” |
Have you ever felt inadequate for a task at hand? I’m working on one now that I want to turn out perfect in every way! I’m not perfect, so that is a pretty big charge! I imagine the Israelites felt like that when God instructed them to rebuild the Temple that had burned down! Solomon’s Temple was glorious, and it was quite the mission to build one so lovely! Many were downcast with its destruction and with the sheer magnitude of their assignment.
I was encouraged by this Scripture as God instructs his children to never fear, be spiritually strong and to work!
After all, He is the LORD of the powerful angelic armies of heaven and we can rely on His divine strength for all help needed! God has proven to be dependable and trustworthy in every way!
As for my task at hand, I will keep working on it and trust God to make it happen!
