Mercy – Matthew 5:7

Matthew 5:7 – “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”

We are Blessed, we are the merciful! The definition of merciful is forgiving, compassionate, and gracious. Most of us do this daily. We show respect and empathy towards others.

There are different ways to show mercy…

1) Being patient with others when they are having a bad day

2) Helping others that are sick or in need.

3)Forgiving others! (People can sometimes hurt you, it can be intentional or accidental, but the Bible tells us to forgive them.)

4) Build bridges to show you care to those who are not popular or who have different beliefs.

When we are merciful to others, mercy is shown to us by the blessings that we receive in life and the life to come.

God shows us mercy, and because we see what mercy is, we can show mercy in a Christ-like fashion.

Prayer

Thank you, Lord, for being merciful towards us, and showing us how to be merciful to others.
