| Psalm 23:6 – “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.” |
Well, it’s about time for Camp Cousins this year. We will be learning sign language to the song, ‘The Goodness of God’ (sung by CiCi Winans). David, my four-year-old, calls it the ‘Oh my goodness of God’. I love this song and the meaning of the Scripture behind it.
No matter what troubles that plague you now…Know this: We are being ‘pursued’ as in the military term of being chased after! God is running after us with goodness and mercy! Look around and count your blessings. Those are the goodness and mercies of God. Whether you find success or are amid being disciplined, you are experiencing God’s mercy while living on this earth.
He is actively pursuing us to live with Him forever. He is deadly serious about pursuing us, as He sent His only Son to die for us to ‘legally’ (according to His perfect standards) allow us to dwell with Him forever in heaven! How great will that be?? No more pain, suffering or tears, but rather, sheer joy and satisfaction forever! This is truly something to get excited about!
I’m delighted for the day all the Grandkids arrive for Camp Cousins. But I’m beyond exhilarated that there is a GREAT DAY COMING when we are accepted into the house of the Lord forever!!!
