Peace is my favorite gift from the Holy Spirit! If I’m not at peace, I am miserable! I can have the worst day and sit down and read Scripture and find peace! No other book can do that for me!
My kids gave me Amazon Alexa as a gift, and I plugged her up in my bathroom. Whether I’m getting ready for the day or for the night, whether I’m cleaning my bathroom or changing the sheets on my bed, I tell Alexa to read me the Bible. It has read the entire Bible to me every 3 months for the last six years.
You think I’d have the whole thing memorized by now. I wish I did! Unfortunately, my mind can wander mid-listen…just like how our prayers sometimes drift off-track.
That’s just a classic human glitch, isn’t it? I’m always apologizing to the Lord for putting Him on hold as I run off in ten different directions. But He knows our hearts are chasing after Him, and He is so patient with us!
I’m so thankful for a God full of lovingkindness!
