Despite this familiar passage in Ephesians being a favorite, my mindset and actions suggest I often believe otherwise. Frequently, I spend copious amounts of time eyeing the clock, fretting about my resources, and being concerned about my personal bandwidth. I regularly try meeting the demands of the day against a backdrop of worry of not having enough time, resources, or energy. In doing so, I find myself drained and frustrated by nightfall.
Remedying this is simple. For it requires remembering how plentiful His capabilities are in contrast to ours. When only looking inwardly we are operating with finite time, resources and energy. However, when turning our gaze toward Him and celebrating that nothing is impossible for Him, we can experience Him moving in powerful ways far superiorly to what we can ask of imagine.
Dear Heavenly Father, Please help us to remember to always look to you and not to our limitations of time, resources or energy. Thank you for answering our prayers in ways far greater than we can even ask or imagine. In the Strong Name of Jesus. Amen
