Matthew 18:15 – “Now if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.”

The key to any healthy relationship is mutual respect and reconciliation. Our text today is a practical guide that embraces the importance of coping with injustice while maintaining respect and pursuing healthy relationships. We have all suffered injustice and have been guilty of injustice to others. The first step of making peace is to address the problem face to face. When we identify injustice, the door is open to reconciliation. This does not always lead to a restored relationship but, is the best path to peace and reconciliation. It is also a reminder that we each need to be open to being confronted with our injustices to others. We need to admit our faults as eagerly as we seek others to do the same. When we seek peace, we are seeking a win, win relationship with others.Prayer

Dear Lord, we come before you with gratitude that you are merciful and the source of peace and reconciliation. Thank you for confronting us with our faults, since we know your desire is to lead us to a place of peace and reconciliation. Help us each day to seek peace, be respectful of others and be pleasing in your sight. In Jesus Name, Amen
