When we commit our life to Jesus, He sends the Holy Spirit to live in our heart and help guide us along the right path. The Holy Spirit refreshes us from being burned in the trials of life; weary, worn, and tired from one trouble after another.
Living in opposition to the Spirit gives an opening for Satan to produce bad fruit in us, such as hatred, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfishness, envy, drunkenness, and the like.
The Holy Spirit is a living water that produces good fruit in us. It nourishes the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. This living water is the Holy Spirit transforming and cleansing our Spiritual life.
Those who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ are gifted and sealed with the Holy Spirit. We have evidence of our salvation when we have the fruit of the Spirit ever increasing in us. Let’s be sure that we do not quench the Holy Spirit but allow rivers of living water flow from our heart to bless others as we have been blessed.
