Hebrews 13:5 – “….be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” |
Sometimes life can be full of frustrations, losses, heartbreaks, disappointments, and challenges. We all go through stormy seasons in life, but we wait expectantly for the sun to shine again. We know that rain helps things to grow; it nurtures and replenishes dry places. But sometimes it feels like when it rains it pours. It feels like everything is going wrong in our lives. It may feel scary and hopeless, like you’re drowning.
By faith, you can know that better days are ahead, but in the meantime, we have to learn to dance in the rain, or at least smile. How? We trust God in the storm, knowing that He “will never fail you,” and He “will never abandon you.” Reflect on what you have control over in the storms. Let go of what you don’t have any control over. Alexandra Elle said, “I am thankful for my struggle because without it, I wouldn’t have stumbled upon my strength.” The storms of life give us an opportunity to increase and strengthen our faith. I recently heard a quote: “Sometimes God calms the storm and sometimes he lets the storm rage and calms His child.”
Dear God, in the midst of days of trouble or concerns we turn our eyes to you! You are our hope, our strength and our Savior! Through it all we will trust you and praise you! In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
