Isaiah 40:30-31 – “30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” |
These verses acknowledge human limitation, emphasizing that even the young and strong are not immune to fatigue and failure.
It highlights the life changing power of faith! Our hope in God provides strength through divine intervention. It enables us to rise above challenges, comparing it to eagles soaring effortlessly. The promise of tireless running and walking represents sustained endurance and resilience.
Reflecting on my own life experiences, I remember a time when I felt devastated by the sudden loss of my Father from a car accident. Understand, he was no ordinary Father but rather a spiritual giant to his family, many ministries, church, and people all over Texas and Mexico. See, he was my not only my Dad, but also my pastor and a pastor to many from all different walks of life.
Surprisingly during that tragic and difficult season, I often found unexpected glimpses of peace, hope, and grace from above. Whether it was supportive friends reaching out or the peace that surpassed all understanding as I spoke at his funeral, I realized that God was quietly working behind the scenes, lifting me up and reminding me that He is always with us even during tragedy.
Thank you, dear God, for this gentle reminder that exhaustion affects everyone, regardless of age or perceived strength and that you will never leave us. Thank you also for the encouragement to turn to you when we need faith for renewal and endurance to stay the course.
