I Chronicles 16:34-36 – “Give thanks to the LORD because He is good. His faithful love will last forever. Say to Him, “Save us, God our Savior. Bring us back together, and save us from the other nations. Then we will give thanks to Your holy name and joyfully praise you.” Praise the LORD, the God of Israel! He always was and will always be worthy of praise! All the people praised the LORD and said “Amen!” |
Giving thanks can sometimes be self-centered. We often thank God and others for what they do for us. There is nothing wrong with that, but thanksgiving can be even richer when we thank God and others, not for what they do for us, but for who they are. God is good even when life is hard and painful. God’s love is always abundant and freely given. God is ready to forgive and restore even when we feel unworthy. God is worthy of our thanksgiving for Who He is and for what He does. He is always worthy of praise!
