I just got back from an awesome family get together this last weekend. Most of my extended family are Christians and joy reigns at those yearly get togethers. It’s a gift from Jesus that we love experiencing.
Jesus said that His joy will percolate through and have jurisdiction over those who are obedient to Him. (Read that again!) I crave that joy from Him. Once you have it, you don’t ever want to lose it!
David knew without a doubt that his joy came from the Lord. After he killed a man and took his wife, he lost the joy! He said, “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and make me willing to obey You.” God did just that!
Jesus extends His joy to everyone who walks in obedience to Him. Be sure to claim your joy as you gather with family and friends over the holidays.
