| Psalm 139:13-15 – “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.” |
What are the odds that you are alive today?
Ali Binazir calculated them.
Your odds of existing as you do are 1 in 102,680,000. But it gets more complicated.
Your chances of your father meeting your mother are 1 in 20,000. (You have a better chance of a lightning bolt hitting you!) BUt break that down. What made htem talk in the first place? 1 in 10. And the chance meeting turning into a long-term relationship is 1 in 2. If all the factors are considered, the chances of your birth are 1 in forty million.
You seem to be here because cosmic odds came together. That’s what some believe.
But that’s not true. We are not here because the universe rolled 7’s at the cosmic craps table. You are here because God made you to be here.
The Psalmist says: “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.”
Before you think you don’t have a reason for life on planet earth, think again. God made you, and since he did, go out and be who he made you to be.
