Which is Easier?

Which is Easier?
Hands up on Mountain
Matthew 9:5 – “Which is easier? To say to a sinner, ‘Your sins are forgiven’, or to say to a paralytic ‘Rise and walk’?

Did you ever wonder what sort of proof Jesus might have given to persuade unbelievers that He has the power to take away our sins? The Bible is an inspired history book replete with examples of miracles by Jesus. Many men, women and children were witnesses to these wonderful provisions by Jesus. There was not anything that Christ could not do.

Wherever Jesus went, people ran throughout the whole region to get to Him for healing. Jesus changed the water to wine, people were healed by merely touching His clothing, He provided a large catch of fish one morning when there were none to be caught all night long by the fishermen. He healed every disease, severe pain and seizure. He healed a withered hand, raised people from the dead, calmed a terrifying storm, healed people who were demon possessed, healed a woman from internal bleeding, made the blind see, the deaf speak, the lame walk, healed invalids, fed thousands of people in one sitting. Jesus raised people from the dead, cursed a tree from ever bearing fruit again, restored a severed ear with a touch of his hand. He raised Himself from the dead and was seen ascending back to heaven by over 500 people.

Jesus came to earth to set the example of how He wants us to live on this land, and to provide a way of redemption for us so that after this life, we may live with Him forever. There were thousands of witnesses during His lifetime on earth. Many people wrote of all the things they saw. So many witnesses testified to the miracles of Jesus. It is proof that He is who He says He is, and He can do what He says He can do.

When Jesus says that He has the power to forgive our sins, we can believe it. Open our heart to be obedient to Him and we will see miracles in our life and inward healings that we never thought possible. Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven, or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?
