As Christ followers we are just passing through this world on our way to our eternal home but along the way it is often easy to fall into sin. There is a constant conflict raging within each of us. Human beings are deeply vulnerable on our own and apart from God’s power when it comes to sin. Good intentions are not enough to keep us from doing what it wrong. We need all powerful and steadfast support.
This internal battle for our soul is fighting against our emotions, choices, and our conscience. It is a war against our standards that we know to be true. As a believer we choose principles from God or submit to sin. We can not maintain a Godly life without His presence.
I am so grateful that we are not trapped forever in sin. We can be tempted and fall prey to Satan’s scheme to keep us in the dark but praise God that we are still free from sin’s authority over us for eternity.
