Isaiah 26:3 – “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Remaining in perfect peace sounds like an ideal way to live each day. Anxiety, weariness, and doubt would be overshadowed with joy, hope and excited anticipation of what each new day will bring. Sadly, when many of us experience peacefulness, it is only sporadic and fleeting.
Today’s text suggests a way we can enjoy perfect peace. Doing so begins with our mindset. Focusing on our circumstances and feelings, which can radically change with any new development, prevents us from experiencing peacefulness. Instead, because He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, choosing to continually focus on the LORD in whom we can trust allows us to walk in perfect peace.
