Ephesians 3:18-19 – “may have power, together with all the LORD’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
“All You Need is Love” was a hit by the Beatles almost 60 years ago. Although the song was probably not written based on today’s scripture, its title nicely describes a tenet of being in a rich relationship with the LORD.
The more we cherish and understand His love, the more we can walk in wholeness and hope despite living in a very broken and chaotic world. It is His love and not our knowledge, abilities, accomplishments, resources, or circumstances that defines and completes us.
Understanding His love is something we will never fully accomplish because the expansiveness of it is beyond human capability. Even so, if we daily are striving to become better acquainted with Him through reading His Word, prayer, and fellowshipping with others on this same quest, our lives can be filled with joy, peace and purpose.
Dear Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of the expansiveness of your love. Help us daily remember to express our gratitude for being loved so completely and perfectly by You. In the Strong Name of Jesus. Amen.
