What can we give a God who made the whole world and everything in it? He is the Ruler of the land and the sky. He does not live in anything that men built. He is God: The One who gives life, breath and everything else to people. He does not need any help from people, as He can create for Himself whatever He desires.
We may not be able to supply any physical thing for God. But what we can give Him, is our self! All of our self! He created us to love Him. We show our love by obeying Him. He wants us to trust Him and be thankful for both the good and bad things in our lives. God promises to work all those bad things for the good! Sometimes that promise can be difficult to fully trust. But, in hindsight, my experience has been that the more I trust God, the more I see that He never breaks even one of His promises.
God created us to bring glory to Him. He created us to be His family! An ‘imperfect’ family for now, but we have a great promise that with God as our Father, He will make us eternally PERFECT. Those of us who are His children will be made flawless once and for all! Living in heaven will be impeccable! Love and joy with every moment …forever! Oh my, I get so excited just thinking about it!
The Lord wants you and He wants me! He created us in a way that we can make the choice whether to obey Him or not. We can choose to trust Him, or not. We can love Him, or not. God wants us with Him for eternity and He waits patiently for us. While I still have today, my choice is Yes! So many pleasures await those who trust Him!
What can I give the Lord who has everything? I believe that God is Who He says He is, and rewards those who seek Him. I put my faith in Him and trust Him wholeheartedly. We abound in peace and joy when the Lord makes us right with Him! I gladly give Him my life.
