My cousin Benji passed away a week ago. He lived in Tyler. The funeral service is today. We had already committed to keeping our grandkids this morning, so we plan to leave for the memorial service after we finish our commitment.
My wife put our 16 month old granddaughter in her lap in our music room and began reading books to her. I got out my guitar and began running through some songs, singing along. Sage got distracted from the book and got interested in my songs. My precious audience of two. My wife of nearly 35 years, and our granddaughter. I would not have traded that concert for a chance to play for 20,000 paying fans. Some things are priceless. Like what God did for us in Jesus. Father in heaven, thank You for showing us what love is, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
