| Philippians 4:6 – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” |
I love that we can be totally honest with Jesus when we prayer. I feel like i stink at prayer at times but He gladly receives my words. Any prayer is a gift to him, for it means we are talking to him. I believe that when we recognize God is always with us, and He is, every breath can be a prayer. Prayer is not just a few sentences we say to God while on our knees. Prayer is the living out of our ongoing, every-moment commitment to God. And listen to this. God hears all our prayers, the good, the bad, and the ugly. He is big enough to handle our honest questions, our doubts, and even our anger. God receives our thankful prayers and the not-so-thankful ones, the eloquent ones and the less-than perfect ones. He accepts our joyful and self-confident prayers as well as our anguished questioning when we experience trauma or loss. Real relationship demands intimate dialogue. Know that God accepts all our prayers because when we pray, we acknowledge our belief that God is in control. Let go, let God. Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
