Psalms 23:1 – “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want”
This is an implied ‘classic’ promise from the Lord.
Have you ever wondered how many promises we have from God? Well, I checked it out. One man who read the Bible 27 times tallied up 8,810 promises from God.
The first thing I did was divide 8,810 by the number of pages with Scripture in my Bible. An average of 5.9 promises per page. The first page I looked at had 19 verses and 6 subtitles. I read it and tallied 5 promises on that page. I did it with several pages and never came up with less than 5 per page! Test it out for yourself! Every time I read the Bible now, I’m looking for His promises on that page!
The best thing about this…He won’t break even one of them! God’s promises are a rock-solid assurance of what will or will not happen!
