At least twice a year, my husband and I travel to the Texas coast. Whenever enjoying a breathtaking sunrise over the bay or a refreshing ocean breeze during an afternoon at the beach, we often talk about being in our ideal place.
Although being at a seaside location is lovely, there is somewhere any of us can access that is even more of an ideal place. Best of all, it doesn’t require packing suitcases, booking hotel rooms, or traveling long distances.
It is when we choose to come into the LORD’s presence. Access occurs when we spend time reading and meditating on His Word. We can experience His presence throughout the day when praying, when congregating with other believers in weekly worship services, or attending a small group.
It is comforting knowing that even during times of chaos and confusion we can enjoy His presence simply by deciding to keep our focus on Him. If we continually identify our ideal place as anywhere we sense His presence, we can experience joy and immeasurable pleasures.
Dear Heavenly Father, regardless of where we find ourselves geographically or situationally, help us to continually seek Your Presence. In the Strong Name of Jesus, Amen
