This verse hit deep within my soul while contemplating the latest news over Covid. It explained everything in the most perfect way. Read it again!
People wore masks for fear of death, or they were angry for being forced to wear masks which prevented comfortable breathing, warm smiles and hearing or understanding what the lips were saying. The lack of social gatherings caused anxiety. There was fear and anger for being forced or for not being forced to take the vaccine. Anger that businesses had to close. Yes, fear, anger and frustration everywhere!
Scripture says that God has not given us a spirit of fear. So how do we live without fear? The answer is in today’s verse. Obey God. He can do anything and He will do what is best for you! 100% true! No need to fear the unknown, when you’re friends with the One Who holds all power. He’s not going to allow anything to happen to you that He doesn’t authorize first, and have a plan to make it all turn out for good. That is what forgiveness is all about! It’s a gift from Jesus. We have nothing to fear when we give Him control of our life.
We all face trials, yet like water rushing through a river and waves that never cease, God is the source that sustains our soul with peace. He ensures our life moves forward with integrity and mercy, one wave after another.
If you are not living in peace, follow the Lord wholeheartedly and you will have it in abundance. I have experienced this and know it to be true. |
