John 8:36 – “”So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” |
The book of Judges has always been particularly interesting to me. The story of Gideon lives in my heart. The Angel of the Lord calls him a mighty warrior, a mighty man of valor. But Gideon saw himself as anything but that. He had doubts and felt weak, helpless, inadequate. But God walked with him and showed him with loving encouragement who he was in God’s eyes. He didn’t shame Gideon for his doubts and questions but met him where he was at and lifted him up beyond his limited perspective.
God does not call you by the world’s limited perspective of you. God does not call you by your current circumstance or situation. He does not acknowledge or agree with anyone’s negative opinion or label of you. He will always call you by exactly how He has created and destined for you to be.
I relate to Gideon. I can be my own worst enemy at times but God saves me from myself each time. And He’s placed people in my life to help me combat the enemy’s lies and all the inaccurate, negative labels. The love of God is so great!
Release your insecurities and walk in ‘God’-fidence. Declare God’s perspective. Let the Angels set your feet on solid ground of Gods truth and walk in the fullness of freedom and grace.
Hebrews 12:1 – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
