The Cakewalk – Psalm19:1-2

The Cakewalk
Black forest cake, Schwarzwald pie. Cake with dark chocolate, whipped cream and cherry
Psalm 19:1-2 – “Let all people see that you are gentle and kind. The Lord is coming soon.”

As I was getting ready today, I was listening to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7 (on ‘Amazon Alexa’). He stated: ‘God will be as hard on you as you are on others.’ Reread that statement as you consider yourself for a minute. Are you hard or gentle with others?

God is so kind and He wants us to be gentle as well! Do others see you as sweetly reasonable, generous, friendly, full of goodwill and mercy? I hope so, because if that’s the case you probably are a great influence on others.

Or do others consider you self-absorbed and uncaring for those around you? We want to watch out for that, because in no way do we want the Lord to be harsh or unforgiving with us! I don’t even want to think about what the afterlife holds for those who cared only for themselves. If you need a change in the positive direction, ask the Lord to help you!

As long as we live on this earth, God provides us with many opportunities for kindness in which He will reward us! It is an exciting thought to know He is coming back to recompense us for letting Him work His goodness through us!

Make being gentle and kind a ‘cakewalk’ and enjoy a plethora of divine blessings in this life and the hereafter!
