Luke 11:33 – “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.” |
In these days that we are in, sometimes darkness seems to overwhelm us. When we have the hope of Jesus living inside of us, we have been given an assignment. We, as the scripture says, “are the light of the world.” We have a light that we are called to allow to shine so others can see our God!
We have a responsibility to point the lost to Jesus. We cannot do this unless we shine His light into the darkness. We are supposed to be working, doing “good works” so that those around us can see that we glorify our God. Faith In Action does just that!
We also have a need to help those who have their lights hidden, whether because of fear, because of intimidation from the enemy, or for any other reason, to shine their lights too. To join our lights together, shining a way in a darkened room, a darkened heart, a darkened house, a darkened world. Let us use our lights to help light others’ lamps. Let’s be a spark that is so desperately needed!

Father God, You are an awesome God! You know the beginning from the end! Remind us, Father, that You are working for our good, and that You are for us, and not against us. Help us to be more bold with the light that You have given us. Help us to be a spark to light other lamps and also an example that others will follow. We praise You in the midst of our circumstances! We thank You for Your light, and for the strength and boldness to let our lights shine! Thank You for all these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
