Psalm 139:1-4 – “Search Me, O God, and Know My Heart
O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.”
Have you ever been told something, or found out something about yourself or somebody else that was so shocking you felt struck by lightning? Or, maybe you just felt numb or frozen like a glacier? Perhaps you pictured yourself as a puzzled cartoon character with your parts strewn all over the ground like a disassembled car engine? Sounds pretty disastrous!
Oh, I felt like that before! I needed to get myself put back together. But how?
There are some things that only God can do! The Bible tells us that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind! He gives us His peace, that surpasses all understanding! Put your life in the Lords Hands and follow Him wholeheartedly! Rather than live a life feeling like you are poorly adhered together, about to fall apart at any second, take it to the Lord! God is an ever-present help in times of trouble. When we rely on Him as our real Father, we have everything we ever need. He will make you whole! God cares for you! For those who love Him, He has promised the gift of peace and joy regardless of terrible circumstances. God never lies and always keeps His promises. He is All-Powerful. He created us and He knows us! He knows everything we do and everything we think. He is on this path with us. Stick like glue to Him and He will work all things to good. It’s a promise! Our destiny is filtered through His Divine Providence, laid out for us before the foundation of the world!
